Ko Ryo Jung Korean BBQ in Torrance offers a lively Korean barbecue experience that caters well to groups who enjoy interactive dining. The restaurant’s layout revolves around tabletop grills, where you can cook your own selections like beef short rib fingers, marinated galbi, and Black Angus rib eye. This hands-on style is at the heart of Korean BBQ culture and encourages a social, slow-paced meal, perfect for gatherings with friends or family.

The menu strikes a balance between traditional Korean BBQ staples and some broader options like spicy ramen and bibimbap served in hot stone bowls. Those who appreciate a variety beyond the grill will find comforting, well-seasoned soups like Yuk Gae Jang or tofu stew that round out the meal. A kimchi bar and salad selections provide refreshing, palate-cleansing sides that add texture and contrast.

Expect a busy, bustling atmosphere, especially on weekend evenings, which often come with wait times. This scene reflects the place’s popularity among local Korean BBQ enthusiasts and neighbors from the wider South Bay area. While the staff might not all be Korean, they generally keep the pace moving, though it’s wise to check reservation or waitlist options through platforms like Yelp before heading over to avoid long waits.

The vibe leans towards relaxed and casual dining rather than fancy or upscale, making it approachable for those who want an authentic, no-frills Korean BBQ outing. Couples celebrating milestones and groups looking to share a festive meal will find it suitable—particularly if you value generous portions and a wide range of meat choices.

The price has seen some increases recently, which might influence how often locals treat themselves, but the quality and variety appear to justify the occasional visit. Pair your meal with a draft beer or soju to complete the Korean BBQ experience, noting that drinks are not included in all-you-can-eat deals.

Overall, Ko Ryo Jung stands as a dependable spot to enjoy Korean barbecue in a lively North Torrance setting, drawing a crowd that comes both for the food and the convivial grilling ritual.

Went there on Saturday 8pm and had to wait for an hour! Very crowded but worth it :) pretty good quality for all-you-can-eat. Mostly had beefs on the top row of menu B and non of them were disappointing. Marinated Gal-Bi was my favorite so far! I would recommend to check waitlist through yelp before u go Cheers!!

Although this is a Korean barbecue restaurant, I was a little surprised to find that none of the waiters were Korean when I arrived. AYCE has a wide variety of food, and some of it tastes good, but the beef tongue is too thin and not attractive. The buffet did not include drinks, which was a bit disappointing.

Update:It got so much more expensive, but then new choices of meat are delicious. Ptobably can't come as much but still definitely worth coming! Only Kbbq place I will ever need to go to. My husband and I always love it here. They are so good to us all the time. So happy they opened up again for dine in.

What a great spot. Get the premium option. The bulgogi and filet mignon were my favorites but everything was delicious. This place is no-frills but strong on flavor and quality. I liked the salad bar, too. The pickled daikon is really scrumptious, as are the house sauces. Order conservatively because it's all-you-can eat (up to 2 hours at the table) and they'll charge you an additional plate if you don't finish what you order, which I think is very valid and fair. You can always add more and that's half the fun of it. I'll be back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a delightful experience at Ko Ryo Jung Korean BBQ. The owner was exceptionally welcoming and hospitable. The beef was incredibly fresh and, given the quality, the prices were very reasonable. The "all you can eat" option is a definite win, ensuring generous portions. I highly recommend trying their short rib and finger meat - both were flavorful and succulent. A must-visit! Highly recommended!

Awesome! A traditional Korean food. This place is really honest about food. Washroom was really clean. This is a sincerely family restaurant I ever enjoyed. They had Kimchi stew that I ate in my home. I paid for it $20 include tips.
